Re: Frank Zappa |
I've posted about this before, but when Zappa died Vaclav Havel had the flag over the Prague Castle lowered to half mast and made a statement about how he would listen that evening to his copy of "Bongo Fury" that Zappa gave him.

Re: Frank Zappa |
One of the great things, of course, about "Bongo Fury", is Beefheart's vocals and the 2 poems/songs he does . I met him at a record signing for "Shiny Beast", but I got him to autograph my copy of "Trout MasK' instead . He saw it, and his face lit up, "THIS is my favorite" .

Re: Frank Zappa |
Don't get me started on HoJo's clam strips.
Ahh, to be young and driving north on 128 to the Portland CC. Fond memories. Might as well throw in a Fribble while you're at it.
